The Mayor’s Workforce Development Board is a Mayoral appointed board that oversees the workforce agenda for the city of Detroit.  Our responsibilities include:

  • Design and support a comprehensive strategic plan for the Detroit workforce development system, addressing systematic supply- and demand-side workforce issues
  • Standardize goals, metrics and evaluation of 300+ agencies serving Detroiters
  • Align the goals of funders including the Federal Government, State of Michigan, foundations, and corporations
